Diaverum recently held its first-ever SEA Head Nurse Retreat, bringing together our nursing leaders from Malaysia and Singapore for a 2D1N retreat at Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast.
We were honoured to be joined by Dr. Dujanah Mousa, Medical Director of Middle East & Asia, whose presence and sharing enriched the programme.
The retreat opened with a full afternoon of departmental presentations, covering:
- Diaverum Overview
- Country Overview
- HR Overview
- Patient Experience & Organic Growth
- Operations Overview
- Medical Overview (presented by Dr. Dujanah)
- Clinical Overview
The first day concluded with a memorable fireflies cruise, where participants experienced the natural wonder of glowing fireflies under the night sky.
On Day Two, the focus shifted to team building, with a series of fun and collaborative activities designed to strengthen teamwork and camaraderie. The retreat wrapped up with a fruit farm tour and a visit to the indoor petting zoo, adding a refreshing and lighthearted close to the trip.
After the retreat, we gathered feedback from the Head Nurses, which was overwhelmingly positive. They shared that the sessions gave them a deeper understanding of the company’s strategic direction and organic growth plans, as well as clarity on areas of strength and opportunities for improvement. Many also appreciated the opportunity to learn more about what the management team has been working on behind the scenes.
One Head Nurse reflected:
“By saving more where possible, being productive & efficient, we can unlock resources to invest in initiatives that drive greater impact and value for our teams and patients.”
Venanssa Goh, Country Manager for Singapore & Malaysia, shared:
“The first SEA Head Nurse Retreat was very meaningful, centered on our top three priorities: Core Excellence, Organic and Financial Performance. This retreat provided an opportunity to align on strategic directions and reinforce our shared commitment to excellence in patient care and operational outcomes. Beyond the discussions, the retreat featured engaging team bonding activities, bringing Head Nurses from both Singapore and Malaysia and also the backend office team together. It was definitely a refreshing break from daily clinic routines and the fast pace of city life, an opportunity to connect, recharge and strengthen team spirit.”
This inaugural retreat was not only an opportunity to share knowledge and align strategies, but also a meaningful moment to connect, recharge, and celebrate the spirit of care that drives everything we do at Diaverum.
